iPhone handy? Go to http://charts.speedymarks.com/
Purpose: Have a set of data? Not in front of your computer? Excel not working?
Pull out your iPhone – make your chart – email it to yourself.
Analysis: This chart making web application allows you to:
1. Name your chart
2. Input y-axis data
3. Display your chart in either: Linear, Vertical Bar, Horizontal Bar, Pie, or 3D Pie Chart
mode.

4. Email the chart
Limitations: There is a HUGE limitation in this web app: You can only enter y-axis data. The x-axis increases by a constant 1, and there is no way to change it. This causes a problem when it comes to line graphs. There are also no curved lines.
Furthermore, by pressing the red X on the Chart Edit screen, you can remove any extra lines. But if you remove the very first line – don’t expect to get it back (without refreshing your screen).
The Verdict: The web app does not have extensive options and is very straight forward. It’s worth noting only if you really really need to visualize data in chart form when on the go. And I’m guessing that doesn’t happen very often. But still – a pretty neat gimick to add to your lineup next time you’re showing off your iPhone.
What says the…
Geek: I can’t add my own x-axis data? No curved lines? I can’t calculate an equation for a line of regression? No thanks.
Socialite: What do I need a chart for?
Soccer Mom: Mmm…pie
