The Issue: Yea yea, this is old news: but I bet most of you iPhoners never knew. The domain www.iphone.com was originally owned by Michael Kovatch since 1995. When Apple released the iPhone and wanted the domain name, Michael Kovatch became a millionaire.
Michael Kovatch is the proprietor of Internet Phone Company (hence iphone.com) But I guess everyone has a price. Although the exact sale price was never revealed, it was a seven figure deal.
Importance: Invent a time machine, go back to 1992, and buy www.iphone.com. When Michael Kovatch wants to buy it in 1995, don’t sell it. Wait for 2006.
