According to the Boy Genius Report, the iPhone 3G will go on sale at 8:00 AM, as opposed to the much later 6:00 PM that the original iPhone hit the stores last year.
The Boy Genius claims to have gotten a tip that AT&T store managers received emails stating that the iPhone launch would be at 8:00 AM on July 11th. BGR‘s tipster said "8:00 AM CT", but if 8:00 AM is indeed the launch time, then it’ll be 8:00 AM local time.
We don’t know whether or not this is true, but BGR is a pretty reputable source, so we’ll buy it.
