In closing, I’d like to remind you that although there are some great new cases coming out for the iPhone 3G, the iPhone 3G will still fit into your old iPhone’s case.
However, the fit might be not as snug due to the slightly curved back on the 3G. Also note that these cases haven’t actually been released and reviewed by the heavy hand of the public, so we can’t recommend any specific cases just yet.
And from your “original” iPhone experience, you already know that it takes a few tries to find the perfect fit.
What about a case with a slot to carry a bluetooth headset? Do any exist? I have a G3 iPhone and apple headset. The headset is nice and small for your ear but also nice and small to lose.
josh, in regards to the invisibleshield, if you’re looking for a screen scratch protector then Mr Len is right, it’s ‘OK’ but totally overpriced. i applied the screen and back cover film and it stayed on my phone for about 3 minutes…..why buy one of the most important pieces of technology of the last decade, for design and functionality, and then cover it in cling film (seran wrap)….it looks cheap yet costs alot…..go figure!

You spent $200 – $300 on your Iphone, why not protect it and show off your iphone, don’t hide it under more plastic. This way your iphone doesn’t have extra bulk and ur not spending another $40 on a case.
Im looking for a hard shelled case for the iphone 3g that has covers for the earphone hole and the bottom plug hole. I keep getting things stuck in there.
I prefer cretouch’Speck case over Marware. Cretouch’s carbon case is much thinner and slimmer than case-mate. I got to see both cases and case-mate was too thick and makes my Beauty iPhone look ugly and bulky. But sometimes it charges so higher, so I have no chocie to get other cheaper iphone 3g cases , especially in such poverty days.
I also recommend Cretouch case over other cases. Their LeatherGrip cases are very good quality cases in very thin slim design. The price is not that bad either. Cretouch.com
Everybody should check out the otterbox 3g cases. Hard shell, silicone overthat, Bulit in screen protector and best of all plugs for ALL the other openings. Dust and almost water proof. And if anything breaks they have a one year warrenty – no question!!!
Hey Adam great side by side comparison, but I would like to caution everyone getting an Otterbox, especially with the design you showed. I have an Otterbox for my Storm2, actually I’m on my second one. The first one the clips on the side of the belt holster, one actually broke, and now on my second one the reverse happened the dimple where the clip goes somehow got chipped
If you have bought your Blackberry and now thinking it to make life long lasting then select the best skin for your phone and these skins will make your phone more attractive.. if you are still confused about skin of your phone then take the help from ; site..

invisible shield for the back or using it as a case is a rip off but as a screen protector it works ok.

The speck case is Okay – have you seen the Rebel switcheasy serpent ?

I just got the iPhone 3Gs and I’m looking for the perfect case. I really liked case mate’s barely there case (http://www.case-mate.com/iPhone-3G-Cases/Case-Mate-iPhone-3G–3GS-Barely-There-Cases.asp) but I think I should probably consider something that will protect my phone from drops since I try to drop my phone a lot. Any suggestions?

A good way to waterproof your phone is to put it in a zip lock bag. The phone is still funtional with in it you can talk and hear fine. Works good.
