While the iPhone 3G offers lots of great features, many of them (and 3G itself included) drain your battery pretty quickly – a full charge typically barely lasts a full work day. And even if you’re still using the first generation iPhone, you’re battery is probably getting eaten up faster than usual given the fact that you have all these apps to play with.
That being said, check out these portable iPhone chargers and battery packs.

I recently purchased the juice pack air which I really liked, but then I dropped my phone. I was devistated to see that it was cracked when i picked it up. Thank goodness for http://www.iphone3gscreenrepair.com was there for a quick repair, but if you are thinking about the juice pack air, know that it is a great hard case for the back of the phone, but doesn’t properly wrap around the front. I would give it a 8 out of 10.
I had the exact same thing happen! I still have the Juice and like it, but I bought a wrap-around battery case as well.
Actually there’s a new Juice pack out there. The Juice Pack Air, compatible with 3G & 3GS and it’s a full case for the phone.
Hiya. Going on a long flight with two small kids soon so was looking for more juice. I got two Morphie Juice Pack Air (one for each iPhone).
All in all a very good deal for under HK$448; 200 less than the Juice Pack Air for 2¬Ω times the capacity! Ok, so it doesn’t encase the iPhone…
I also found something called “BluePack S8″. from Dexim. It is a small external battery pack that holds a whopping 3000 mAh. It comes with charging cables for iPhone, mini-USB (Blackberry, etc…) and micro-USB (various). The latter is quite neat since it can actually charge the Juice Pack Air directly and the iPhone “through” it. It comes with a small powerbrick and a USB cable so you can charge it from the wall or the computer. Finally, it has an LED flashlight. I guess they had some space left in the casing.
Now I just have to charge all this stuff lol.
