Cro-Mag Rally, one of the lucky WWDC worthy iPhone games, has just had it’s price lowered from $9.99 to $5.99. Rally had found itself a competitor in Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D, since both games had the same premise, gameplay, and price. Perhaps Pangea Software, the developers of Rally, simply wanted to make the Rally/Bandicoot decision a little bit easier. Regardless, thanks Pangea – now lower Enigmo too 🙂
On another note, it comes as a bit of a surprise that amidst all of its stringent rules and policies Apple allows the developer to change the pricing of an application. This is good news for all App Store shoppers. With more and more apps hitting the store, competition is getting brutal. And what better way to compete than to cut prices?
App Store Economics 101 anybody?
