We wrote before that Apple Releases "Push Notification" API To Selected Developers
Well, seed of iPhone 2.1 Beta 4 has been release and it appears that the API for the push service has been delayed by Apple.
Looks like someone had a "lessons learned" meeting after the MobileMe fiasco. Many of us would like to see background notifications, but not at the price of stability of iPhone 2.1 software and its improved core features.
