Tag Heuer Releases Cell Phone, Realizes They Should Stick To Watches

Tag Heuer, the luxurious (luxuriously overpriced) watch maker, has decided to dip their toes into the cell phone industry. Perhaps they got jealous of Apple’s iPhonelicious success. Or maybe they realized that time gets old.

The phone, called Meridiist, is a solid block of aluminum with a 60.5 carat sapphire crystal screen (which is unscratchable). The phone also comes with a digital clock on the top.

The phone comes with a 2 MP camera, MP3 playback, and a whole lot of timekeeping applications. After all, it is Tag Heuer.

And now, what you’ve all been waiting for…the price tag:

$4,122

Why you ask? Brand name. And unfortunately, that’s all this phone has going for it. A weak product by a strong company – which is why we say, "Tag Heuer, stick to the watches."
