The iPhone is now authorized for sale in Russia (drop date was October 3), but before Apple officially introduced the iPhone to the largest country on earth, plenty of unauthorized iPhones were being sold.

The phone above looks like a typical, official iPhone. It was purchased in Russia.  Let’s dissect this device, shall we:

It’s powered by two watch batteries and a light bulb, and there’s a steel bar for added weight!  NO WONDER THE STUPID THING DOESN’T WORK!

Hah! Nice try, swindlers.  Unfortunately, those who purchased the dud iPhone probably paid a heavy price tag for what turned out to be an (almost) empty case.
