iPhone Braille? Touch Case Lets the Blind Use It, Too.

With so much of the computer world being visually-oriented, it's easy to forget there's an entire segment of the population (i.e. the blind/visually-impaired) that are literally being left out in the dark.

No longer.  Portuguese designer Bruno Fosi now offers Invisual: a full-body silicon cover for the iPhone with modified bas-relief buttons, each corresponding to a modified home screen.  Using text-to-speech and moon-type tactile feedback, the case promises full iPhone functionality to the sightless, including multi-touch and finger flick scrolling.

(No word yet on what underlying apps support all this, though…)
