Phones in the Key of “A:” Android Port Gets On-Screen Keyboard

Take THAT, Blackberry Storm!

As you can see in the above video, the newest G1 port of the Android OS (code-named "Cupcake") offers an on-screen keyboard with a unique form of feedback: instead of simply magnifying the key around your finger, Cupcake
displays a disembodied duplicate at a fixed distance above the original
key, for an effect not unlike the iPhone's onscreen keyboard.

Aside from hardware/onscreen keyboard and data/voice connections, this port is still far from 100% stable, but it does give an interesting look at what Android could become.
