Electronic Arts' iPhone implementation of Monopoly isn't just a straight port of the original; like the recent reboots of DOCTOR WHO, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, and BATMAN, they've brought it into the 21st century. Sez EA:

Not surprisingly, you shake your iPhone/iPod Touch to roll the dice or animate the movers. The touch screen lets you flick and drag property cards and simulate real-life game experiences. The game also lets you listen to your own music in the background, and loads the Chance and Community Chest cards with information about the exotic locales contained in the game.
Obviously, Monopoly has always been about multiple players, and this version has that covered. You can utilize Pass 'n' Play mode for up to four players, or connect via a local Wi-Fi router. Need to step away for a bathroom break? An AI mode sits in for you. (The same mode lets you go play in solo mode against the game.)
Right now, most comments seem to focus on a lack of a "vintage Monopoly" option — but for US$7.99, EA has otherwise packed a lot of functionality into a game classic.
