It would seem that the English are more easily bored — and easily amused — than we'd previously suspected.
Rick Curran, the creator of the UK blog Suburbia, noticed that there were enough iPhone app icons with single letters on them to spell out some words. The next logical step? To find out if he could create a full alphabet — letters A-Z, numbers 0-9, even some punctuation — out of said icons.
Did he do it? Did he ever!
(Ten points for anyone who can reverse engineer Curran's "Alph-APP-bet" and identify the program that goes with each icon…)
We'll guess that, if you're waiting for the official debut of the eleventh Doctor Who, there are worse ways to pass the time.
