Flight Control, a challenging (and, at it's introductory US$0.99 price, quite affordable) air-traffic controller simulator for the iPhone, has become a runaway success for for its creators at Firemint — who, in a surprisingly open move, vowed to share the details of the app's sales numbers with the world.
Their in-depth report, which covers the period between late March and late April of this year when Flight Control was #1 in the US, not only covers high-level data (587,485 sales in that period, over 700,000 to date), but also peak sales days, highest daily sales per country, even per-day sales in each country where the app hit the top spot.
