It took Apple a little time to realize that the App Store leads to lots of apps, which leads to lots of pages, which leads to annoyed iPhone users. That's why they added the "home button auto-scrolls to first page" trick.
One thing they never improved, however, is the timely and irritating method of relocating applications between pages.
This trick should make things a bit easier.
A lot of people fail to realize that ALL apps are movable, even the 4 on your iPhones silver dock at the bottom of the screen. Let's say you want to move an app from the first page to the last page. Instead of having to drag it to the side of each individual page, messing up the order of other apps, simply place it in that silver dock. Then, scroll to the last page, and drag it in.
No "app carrying" required!

Brilliant!
Thanks for the tip! saved my girlfriend 2 hours
Thanks! I didn’t even realise that we could move apps to the first page at all (since all the installed apps automatically go to 2nd page onwards) until at one stage, I accidentally moved one of the icons on 1st page to 2nd page
This is great.. now I can put the frequently accessed apps on the first page
