It’s been an exciting week for iPhone users. There has been a bunch of rumors floating around about the “new” iPhone – “iPhone 3G 2009” – and they sure look promising. The following 7 rumors summarize what all the hubbub has been about.

In the screenshots above, note the sliding bar in the bottom right corner of the screen. There will (allegedly) be an option to either take photos or capture videos.
3. Landscape Texting
It was definitely odd of Apple to allow landscape mode for typing in the Safari browser but not in text messages. Perhaps they figured people type long sentences on the internet but short messages in texts. They were wrong. Let’s hope this one is true.
4. Digital Compass
Yeah, there’s an application for this, but wouldn’t you prefer it to be free? And don’t you think Apple can make it better?
5. Voice Recorder
Again, there’s some apps that already do this, but it seems like such a simple application that it should just come with the iPhone.
Not only does this photo promise MMS on the iPhone, but the option to send both photos and videos!
7. New Look
This rumor isn’t as promising as the screenshots above, but it can’t be ignored. The current iPhone 3G is on your right, and the “new look” iPhone is on your left. Hopefully, they won’t change it, because the current shiny back looks much better.
