I think it’s pretty dang nice. Even on my original iPhone.
I love it so far though I’ve only had it maybe 2 hours. I’m waiting on the 3GS or rather I’m waiting for next years iteration… 3GS looks sweet, but by the time I actually become eligible, it’ll be WWDC `10 time…

Downloaded the new OS for my 3G today about 1:15pm est (had the day off) and installed with no issues. My thoughts:
-The following work as advertised with no caveats:
–Landscape mode for native apps (awesome!)
–Voicememos
–YouTube
–Shake to shuffle
–Spotlight
–iTunes store accounts
–parental controls (for all those untrustworthy teens)
–in app purchases
-copy and paste work as advertised, however magnifier is a more finicky, you can forget get the cursor in the middle of a word that is more than six letters
-apps load a bit faster but not anything to jump up and down about
-yes you can send multiple pictures, however, you must copy and paste from photos. I remember seeing a screen shot where you could select multiple photos at the same time within photos…you cannot do this
-Safari loads pages a tad faster, again nothing to jump up and down about
-iTunes actually seems to load the home page slower, I guess this is to be expected since it’s loading more
-Neither MMS nor tethering supposed to work yet (thanks AT&T) so I don’t know why people are complaining
-haven’t used the bluetooth so no comment here
-Several apps now have updates for the new OS which generally are improved
All and all, it was a decent showing but a bit anti-climatic. I did read about a news release today from AT&T stating that some 3G users who pay more than $100 per month for service and are between 12-18 months (which is nobody yet) MAY be elgible for the upgrade to the 3G S.

Still wondering why I can’t get a basic iCal weekly view, especially that the landscape mode is a given now. ?-(
I downloaded the latest version on to my 3G phone but was disappointed to see that the ability to record video was not included and is only available on the 3GS. Apart from that its a good improvement.
my iphone started working slowly since i updated to 3.0 is this happing to anybody else or is it just me?
I got the 3.0 update for my iPod Touch.
Picking up the 3Gs in the morning at 7am, and could not be more excited.
-I love the spotlight search; definitely something I will utilize daily.
-Shake to shuffle is fun, but isn’t 100% necessary.
lalm20, I seemed to have had the same problem. Just try shutting off your iPhone for like 5 minutes and restarting it.
