The pothead phrase "it's 4:20 somewhere" now includes iPhones and iPod Touches in the category of "somewhere."
That's because the App Store is now carrying Cannabis, the first app that lets users track down sources for medicinal marijuana, including cannabis collectives, doctors, attorneys, organizations, and other patient services. Traveling outside the US — to, say, Amsterdam? Cannabis will help you locate the nearest cup of coffee with a side of Afghan black hashish.
The app is the product of Ajnag (spell it backwards…), a "cannabis lifestyle network" that advocates the responsible use of "the weed with its roots in hell" — to quote an old exploitation-movie tagline. They've even gone so far as to pledge fifty cents out of each sale of the US$2.99 program to a cannabis non-profit reform fund, which will be set up once the application reaches 1000 subscriptions.
