From Sweden, The Astonishing Tribe (TAT for short) have unveiled their rather novel twist on the whole "augmented reality" buzzword.
Augmented ID "visualizes the digital identities of people you meet in real life." By snapping a photo or video clip of a person with your smart phone, the image is surrounded by clickable informational icons that move (in three-dimensional space!) with the person's face. Depending on how the person has customized their ID profile, the icons' links could be as businesslike as a corporate website, or as "unbuttoned" as YouTube or Facebook pages.
This very neat video explains the concept better.
