Today's iPhone app reviews are all about adding convenience to your iPhone. "Call Chris" is one of those cheap trick apps that could actually come in useful. "Air Cam Live Video" lets you tune into your webcam through your iPhone. "Texter" can send video text messages on your iPhone 3G, and "Download Manager" is like any good download client…except it's on your iPhone.

Air Cam Live Video allows you to tune into the live video (and audio) feed from any compatible webcam. It works on both Mac and Windows, but you need to be connected to your home's Wi-Fi network. The application allows you support multiple webcam connections, take snapshots of the video feed, and detect motion. Be sure to try the lite version out first.
Call Chris (or other available name)
by JerryBeers.com
Category: Utilities
Price: $0.99
There are a bunch of apps by JerryBeers that follow the same exact "Call _____" pattern. The app simply puts an icon on your home page with a name under it, and tapping it calls that person instantly. The point is to skip having to first press Phone, then contacts, then the contact name, then the number. Even if the person is in Favorites, you still have to press three things. This way, it's just one button. While this seems like a cheap way to make money (because he made a separate app for a bunch of common male/female names), it could be useful if there is one person you call very, very frequently. If you want a new name added, you can email the developer and ask him to add that name. You should also tell him to make a general Call application where you can manually change the name.
