Now HERE's a new iPhone sync cable that actually, y'know, makes sense…
Xmultiple's X-Power1 takes a standard iPhone/iPod sync cable and sticks a rechargable lithium-ion battery smack-dab in the middle of it. The concept is simple: every time you sync your device, the battery (re)charges. Then if you're running out of juice, don't have a wall/car charger handy, and aren't near a computer with a USB port, just plug the cable back into your iDevice and the cable's battery keeps your gizmo running. (Xmultiple advertises talk time of 4.5 hours on a 3G and 9 hours on a 2G.)
No pricing or availability info at the moment…
