Apple recently decreed that iPhone app developers using iTunes Connect to upload their submissions include 255 comma-separated characters as keywords, to facilitate App Store searches.
While this will certainly help a prospective customer find your hot-off-the-griddle killer app, one wonders how closely, if at all, Apple will vet these search strings. Otherwise, less-than-scrupulous coders could always front-load their search strings with popular words/phrases totally unrelated to their program.
