Shades of the old "Midnight Special" TV show…
We've just learned that Apple's first-ever iPhone streaming live concert airs tonight, with British electronica group Underworld the featured performers. Neither Apple nor AT&T have been widely promoting this, despite the fact that it's being broadcast with Apple's own HTTP streaming protocol, which is reportedly robust enough to handle large quantities of viewers.
Here's your chance to test that. The concert starts at midnight, Eastern Standard Time, and can be seen here or here. And no, Don Kirshner will not be hosting.

Wasn’t this concert Friday night ? Also, I hope qik and ustream broadcaster get fixed for the 3GS soon. I’d really rather see phishtube up and working or do my own video streaming than see more mainstream commercial stuff. My iPhone is not a television.
