The TomTom Car Kit for the iPhone 3GS isn't going to be "Ready For Prime Time" until October, but that didn't stop the above listing from briefly popping up on several European Apple online store sites.
Which is not the significant part of the story. Look closely: the listing, which prices the kit at £99.95 (US$164.10) in the UK and 99.95 Euro (US$147.90) on the Continent, indicates that the TomTom for iPhone app is included in the purchase price.
That might explain why, shortly after appearing, the listing was yanked, and TomTom issued a statement that the app was absolutely NOT included in the kit.
