Novothink believes your iDevice needs to catch a few rays.
To that end, they've unveiled the Surge solar-powered cases for iPhone 3G/3GS and iPod Touch. Each has a built-in solar panel to charge your device via sunlight as well as a rechargeable advanced lithium-ion polymer battery cell to store surplus energy. The cases provide eash access to the touch screen and sync connector, speaker ports to prevent muffled audio, even a wrist strap. Each case comes in a variety of flat and metallic shades (including the "go green" hue seen above). There's also an included Solar Power app "to estimate your solar needs based on your usage."
Novothink also brags that the Surge is the first solar based iPhone 3G/iPhone 3GS charger to gain Apple certification. It's due out later this fall, with an MSRP of around US$70.00.
