Connecting your iPhone or iPod to your computer just got a little less proprietary.
The SendStation PocketDock lets you charge and sync your iDevice with a standard Mini-USB cable instead of the regular Apple cable. It even throws in a line-level audio output to boot (which means better-quality sound when connecting to home/auto stereo or DJ equipment).
Chances are you have at least one gizmo that already has a Mini-USB connector, which means one less standalone cable littering your computer station — or insurance, if said cable gets lost or goes kaput, that you can still sync/charge your iPhone. That kind of peace of mind alone could justify the PocketDock's US$29.95 price tag.
