Attention, residents of Dallas, Texas: be on the lookout for a pink (yes, pink) iPhone. The person who finds it could be five thousand dollars richer.
The phone, belonging to the family of Dallas resident Keith Hardesty, went missing last Wednesday. Hardesty posted an ad with the reward offer in Sunday's Dallas Morning News. What prompted the monetary offer wasn't the phone's unusual hue, but what was on it: photos from a family vacation in Vietnam that hadn't been offloaded yet. "They're personal
photographs and they just can't be replaced," said Hardesty.
"Going back [to Vietnam] is not a thing you can do very easily."
Anyone who locates the phone can call the owner at 817-829-1180, no questions asked.
