In-Dash GPS Gets iPhone Control

The iPhone is now on speaking terms with two of Pioneer's pricey in-dash navigation units, thanks to the recent release of the AVIC Feeds app.  The app sets up a Bluetooth dialog with the AVIC-U310BT (US$599.00, pictured) or AVIC-Z110BT (US$1,599.00) head unit, enabling a destination address to be looked up on the iPhone "on the fly," then beamed directly to the GPS, rather than manually entering the info.  Additionally, geotagged photos taken on the iPhone can be saved as points-of-interest.

While the app will only work with the aforementioned GPS units, at least it's free.
