On The Block-Rockin’ Beat: Two New Lego iDevice Stands

From the "Thick As A (Plastic) Brick Dept.", a case of parallel evolution: not one, but two clever iPhone desk stands made out of Lego blocks.  Oh, snap(-together)!

Lego enthusiast Steven Combs leads the charge with this clever stand that rotates from portrait to landscape mode.  His Flickr feed includes more images and a video of the stand in action.  (This isn't his first Lego/Apple fusion: check out his clever solution for mounting his iSight camera to his Powerbook.)

Also on Flickr, user "hargtimothy" offers up the iStand, which was designed by a Lego expert: his 11-year old son.  The iStand tilts, swivels, allows charging/syncing, and even has shock absorption built in.  At least one commentor was ready to purchase the unit should they ever go on sale.
