In the past, we've looked at iPhone cases made out of everything from titanium to cardboard to even "bacon." Now, thanks to Vers Audio, makers of fine wood speaker/tuner docks, comes a collection of wooden iPhone/iPod touch/iPod Nano cases. The cases retail for US$39.99, are made from either bamboo or US hardwoods (and Vers is active in tree replanting efforts), and have cutouts for date/time display. And while they brag of wood's protective qualities, as well as the presence of a "Quick-eject rear finger detail," one wonders just how easy it is to pop a ringing iPhone out of its case in a hurry — much less do ANYTHING screen-related.
