Another Reason to Jailbreak: CyDialer from Saurik (Creator of Cydia)

Let's Talk Cydialer!

You know, of all the applications that we cover here on iSmashPhone.com, we don't talk about applications that actually make it easier to make a phone call. 

After all, that's what the iPhone is, right?  A PHONE. 

Um, yeah, let me save my Doom game and hide my Sims 3 game, and let's talk phone calls.

CyDialer is a new app for jailbroken phones available from Cydia (search: CyDialer) that allows you to make phone calls to the people who you call the most from the lockscreen. 

Besides the fact that you can flip through your contacts' photos with a slip of the thumb, you do not have to unlock your phone in order to call. 

 

Here's how it works:

1. You choose your contact to call and the person's picture enlarges.
2. Swipe your thumb across the bottom to call.
3. You should be talking to them in no time (or their voicemail, whatever).

This is a pretty cool little program for only $1.74.

It does require the installation of another program called Cydget (also written by Saurik) that is similar to Winterboard, only for your lockscreen.

While CyDialer is the first plugin for Cydget, we're sure many, many more will come.
