A number of developers are alleging that Apple is indulging in computerized filtering when it comes to checking out the hundreds of apps submitted to the iPhone Developer Website. Of course this hasn't been confirmed by Apple and might be just pure speculation. However if this is true then some developers may not like the new direction Apple is taking.
According to blogger John Gruber, Apple is utilizing new "static analysis tools" which ensure that the developers are not making use of Apple's private APIs as it violates the iPhone SDK's terms. With the computer filter, Apple has been able to catch the rule-breakers and reject their apps. So what do you think? Is Apple justified in enforcing their API policy and making sure the developers stick to the rules?
