Today's notable apps encompass listening to the radio, whether it be Internet Radio or some local radio station. These are a few of the best apps out there.
Pandora Radio – Free
When it comes to radio, sometimes we get a bit annoyed at the radio stations that say they play a certain type of music and then they play something we don't think belongs.
If you feel like this, Pandora Radio is your place to go!
Pandora's iPhone app gives you all the convenience of being able to use your Pandora account and to set up your own stations that play music according to the bands that you like to listen to. You can also rank each song by telling Pandora that you want more or less of that band or that type of song.

Stitcher Radio – Free
Stitcher Radio allows you to "stitch" your favorite audio programs into current, on-demand "stations."
Similar to Pandora, it allows you to build a custom "Favorites" station
where you have selected your favorite shows and rated shows based on
your own personal likes and dislikes. However, unlike Pandora, Stitcher
is more for talk radio, podcasts, and news shows.

ooTunes Radio 2.6! – $4.99
ooTunes Radio is an internet radio stream player that supports AAC, AAC+, MP3, WMA, OGG Vorbis and many Flash Player streams. The database is customer-built and can be seen at http://ootunes.com/stations. Requests to add stations are taken.
You can share what you're listening to on Twitter and Facebook. It states that it rarely loses a connection and if it does, it automatically reconnects. You can also fall asleep listening to it as it has a time built-in to turn it off.
