There has always been a buzz around the Motorola DROID even before it debuted. The DROID not only was meant to take on the almighty iPhone but was also suppose to salvage Motorola’s dwindling market share. To some extent it has already managed to do both and for a change, Motorola didn’t end up disappointing its customer base. Hence we here at iSmashPhone decided to list some accessories that would further enhance the DROID experience.
The DROID phone Holder car dock and the Multimedia Station home dock were one of the first accessories to be announced for the DROID. Retailing for $29.99 each, the car dock makes using the DROID while driving easier. The Multimedia Station home dock on the other hand provides weather updates and also acts as an alarm clock.
No smartphone is complete without a trendy case and the Motorola Droid Rubberized Hard Case certainly fits the bill. Retailing for $11.99, its available in a number of vibrant shades like purple, pink etc.
Those looking for a car charger for their DROID should check out the Motorola Droid MicroUSB Elite Car Charger. It comes equipped with a LED display and can be purchased for $14.99 after discount from Think Droid.
Another DROID case that caught our attention was the Aquapac. What sets the Aquapac apart from the rest of the clique is its salt-water and UV (sunlight) resistant body. The case is fully waterproof to a depth of 15 feet and also includes a stylus holder. It is available online for $24.95.
If you found the Aquapac and the Rubberized Hard Case a little juvenile and in the market for something more elegant then check out the DW Horizontal Leather Carrying Pouch. Made from high quality leather with black stitching and sealed seams, the case features a magnetic closing flap, a belt clip and a belt loop.
If you prefer simplicity when it comes to your cases then the Droid Suede Jacket from Waterfield Designs will definitely appeal to you. Made from top quality suede, the case has a low profile design and protects you device from scratches and can be easily slipped into your front or back pocket.
Want to protect that beautiful touchscreen of your DROID? Then no one does it better than ZAGG whose products shields your device from dust, dirt and debris. The ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for DROID is a patented film made from nano-memory technology and is only .2 millimeters thick making it the slimmest Motorola Droid skin or cover of its kind.
If you find the ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for DROID too expensive, then you can also opt for the Amzer Anti-Glare Screen Protector, as a pack of six will cost you $8.95. The screen protector is made of special micro thin polymer and safeguards your screen your screen from fingerprints, dirt, scratches, smudges, and grease.
Unfortunately for DROID users, its kind of slim pickings when it comes to accessories, especially when compared to all the options available for arch-rival iPhone. However we are sure this is just temporary and over the next few months we will see more of DROID accessories.
