Enhancing the video capturing abilities of the iPhone 3GS is no small feat but the duo of Harold Smith and Graham Mcbain behind the brilliant OWLE Bubo made it look like child's play. Now they have come up with a new hack which basically turns the iPhone into a lean, mean shooting machine.
The new prototype is slightly different from OWLE Bubo as it lets the iPhone user utilize various lenses, photographic principles like depth of field and even XLR and stereo microphones. To achieve this photographic feat, the OWLE team made use of the 30 pin connector found on the bottom of the iPhone and hooked it up with professional audio and video equipment. Find the whole hack far-fetched? Well then check out the video below which highlights their incredible work.
