To save you guys the trouble of having to spend all day long, every day, searching the iTunes App store, we have brought back our Notable Apps features! If you have anything in particular you would like to see in this column, please feel free to leave a note in the comments and we'll get to it!
Today's first notable app is called: Babelshot. Babelshot is being touted as the first translator app that will read input from the iPhone camera!
Pretty sweet!
This past spring saw the MBA release it's own app for live streaming of baseball games directly to iPhone and iPod Touch users.
Not to be outdone, the second app we will cover today is NBA League Pass Mobile and is a LIVE streaming app for the NBA and will be available for download for both the iPhone and the iPod Touch (as well as Android phones) on the Appstore on Friday, November 6, 2009.
According to Cnet: "The NBA's application will cost $39.99 and let users watch up to 40 live games per week via their smartphone, though local TV blackout rules will still apply. The app also has an option to watch some games on demand for up to two days later and comes with game alerts and live stats."
And, last but not least, the iBonsai app will let you cut, trim and shape your own little bonsai tree. Money quote: "iBonsai is an abstraction of the true bonsai experience, so you need not worry about watering or pruning: simply watch it take shape before your eyes."

The babelshot is absolutely fabulous. Translations on the Iphone, what a great travel tool. Take a picture of a sign in a foreign country and then translate it. How cool is that. And iBonsai, I love bonsai. I have several plants. Now to carry one where ever you go. Zen on the phone. Excellent!!!
