Like many other Android devices, the Nook has been compromised too. Yes folks, the latest e-reader on the block has been rooted courtesy Nookdevs and while Barnes and Noble may not be too happy with this, we are thrilled.
The hacked Nook will be able to run custom apps and interestingly is running on Android 1.5 Cupcake. Here is a break down of the specs:

If you fancy hacking into your Nook, then we should warn you that its not the easiest task out there. You would need tools like a screwdriver, a knife (that alone should scare you) and even a computer that runs on linux.
However if you like living on the edge and don’t mind tinkering with brand new gadgets then head over to Nookdevs to get the full set of instructions.
