Directions For A Dollar: MotionX Wishes Us A Merry GPS-mas

Just in time for holiday travel, Fullpower Technologies has dropped the price of its MotionX turn-by-turn navigation app to US$0.99.  If you've been investigating, say, Tom Tom's iPhone GPS app, but balked at its near US$100 price tag, here's a solution that'll cost you pennies on the dollar.

One caveat, though. MotionX is based on a subscription system: you get thirty days of its Live Voice Guidance, after which you have to pony up three bucks a month — or a discounted US$24.99 per year — to continue the service.  (At least you don't have to renew every successive month, so if you're only an occasional user, you can opt for a pay-as-you-need battle plan.)

Subscription aside, it's well worth that first buck to try the app out, then decide if you want to continue using it.  Happy Holidays!
