More news on the Google-will-sell-the-Nexus-direct-to-you story. Google apparently plans to sell the phone, not just unlocked, but unsubsidized as well, so it'll cost you a whopping US$530.00 right out of the gate.
If you buy it through T-Mobile, it'll only cost you US$180.00, but you must get a two year plan. Another caveat: The only plan available is the $39.99 Even More, plus mandatory Text and Web, bringing it up to $79.99. Current T-Mobile customers can't transfer their existing plans over to the Nexus; additionally, if you want Family plans, Flexpay, SmartAccess or KidConnect, you have to shell out for the unlocked phone.

I paid $500 for both my iPhone 3G and 3GS because they were considered “early upgrades.” And those are both locked to AT&T. Considering this is a commitmen free unlocked phone, it seems appropriately priced.
