At 10 AM PST, Apple sent out invitations to "come see our latest creation" on January 27th at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco.
The paint-spattered invite is both intentionally vague and deliberately fraught with meaning. There have been so many rumors linking the 27th to an iTablet launch that it's almost automatic to link the two. But at the same time, people have pointed out that the paint-spatter palette matches that of the current iPod Nano lineup.
Consider that the House of Jobs announced the MacBook Air with the phrase "there's something in the air" — and the iPhone itself with "the first 30 years were just the beginning"– whatever's coming next week has the potential to be huge and game-changing.
