iPlastic: Morphie Credit Card Scanner To Debut At CES

We've already told you about Square, the iPhone dongle-plus-app that allows credit card payments to be made directly from you iPhone.

Now Morphie — creators of the Juicepack Air external iPhone battery — are throwing their hat into the cardreader fray with their upcoming scanner system, scheduled to debut at next week's Consumer Electronics Show.

Keep in mind, as Gizmodo has pointed out, that right now the iPhone API doesn't allow credit card info to be scanned directly into Safari for web purchases.
