Another IR dongle for the iPhone and iPod is ready to hit
this already crowded market. The i-Got-Control IRB1 really isn’t all that
different from other IR devices
already available like New
Potato’s FLPR, ThinkFlood’s RedEye mini, and Power A’s solution. The
i-Got-Control IRB1 does have an impressive database of over 40,000 IR codes
which makes setting up your system really easy. You simply attach the device to
the iPhone or iPod’s dock connection, download the free application from the
App Store, and use the extensive database to sync up with your components. The
IR device does everything else, and it is nice not have all those old remotes
cluttering your home. The i-Got-Control IRB1 retails for $69.95 and should be
shipping shortly.
