We may have joked about potential iPad-carrying clothing options, but the design team at Maya (whose motto is "Taming Complexity") aren't joking. A full day before the iPad made its debut, they had designed and manufactured the Sprocket Pocket, an iPad carrying pouch for cyclists that can be attached to your clothing. If your a "Simplicity pattern" sort of person, you can actually download the Pocket pattern and sew your own.
Not only that, they're developing a "Sprocket" app to display turn/stop messages to the traffic behind you as you ride. All of which is demonstrated in the accompanying video. Functional AND clever!
