CNN is reporting that WalMart is planning to slash the price of 16GB iPhone 3GS' by more than half — to US$97.00, with the predictable two-year AT&T contract. This is actually two bucks less than what Wally World was charging for old 8GB iPhone 3G's.
Now, this generally happens when Apple has a new model iPhone in the pipeline (gee, wotta surprise), and retailers want to clear out inventory of older model phones. Still, less than a C-note for a not-too-shabby 3GS?
So: all you bargain-hungry phone nuts who would rather save some money than get all the bleeding-edge whiz-bang of the 4G — your time has come.
