HTML5 is said to be one of the next big steps in web design. Jobs & Co. support it full-force. He has made it apparent by his outspoken hatred for Flash.
When Jobs presented iPhone OS 4.0, he mentioned that the Toy Story iAd he showed off was running on HTML5.
It seems like others are jumping aboard as they decide to support the iPad. CBS interactive's Anthony Soohoo said today that they will be offering their CBS.com video streams in HTML5, making it compatible with the iPad.
He said that unlike ABC, who offers an App which lets users watch full episodes of their favorite shows such as Lost and Desperate Housewives. CBS is keeping the content on their website, but simply making it accessible to iPad owners. Whether the strategy works for them remains to be seen.
