It’s A Gas, Gas, Gas: iPad Controls Video Blimp

From the "Really, REALLY Neat Hacks Dept.:" Breakfast NY (http://breakfastny.com/2010/05/ipad-controlled-video-blimp/), a quirky digital marketing team whose goal is "To be memorable, appropriate, and make people smile" and "To avoid the current clich√©s" certainly achieved that at a recent Design Week after-party, by flying a video-camera-equipped RC blimp over the partygoer's heads.  The four-foot-long blimp was controlled by a custom iPad app that also captured and mutated shots of the attendees upturned faces and projected them onto a video screen.

While it would undoubtedly lose in a head-to-head battle with the iPhone-controlled AR Drone helicopter (http://www.ismashphone.com/2010/01/hover-mother-an-rc-helicopter-you-control-with-your-iphone.html), this clever, lo-fi solution was clearly the hit of the party.
