The iPad camera connection kit has already been discovered to support more than just cameras, such as USB audio devices and keyboards. Now someone has found yet another clever use for the kit, but it requires a jailbroken iPad.
It's now somewhat possible to mount an external USB drive on the iPad for backup. The downside is that it's not entirely efficient. It requires a split USB cable to help power the drive, an extra port (in the case of the video it's a MacBook Pro) which is mean to "trick" the iPad into mounting the external storage device. It's also a cool trick to show your friends.
