AR Drone is iPhone Controlled, Brings One Step Closer to the World of Metal Gear Solid

This isn't some secret military project. This is the AR Drone, a flying machine that is controlled with your iDevice. iSmashPhone ran into it at one of the outdoor tents at this year's E3. Sure, it sounds a bit dorky, but it got our attention. 

Controlling the unit is as easy as tilting your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad in order to steer. The thing can also hover. At about $299 the price is a bit steep, but it comes equipped with a camera and two games.

It seriously looks really cool, but $299 is just a little more than we can shell out right now.
