Andrew Auernheimer, a hacker in the Goatse* Security group that discovered the AT&T iPad-related flaw, was arrested for possession following a search of his home in Arkansas, Tuesday. Drugs were found during the execution of a warrant on his home though officials could not say what prompted the warrant.

Auernheimer, who goes by the 'nom de hacker' of "Weev," faces four felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanor possession charge. The drugs included cocaine, ecstasy, LSD, and various pharmaceuticals.

AT&T vowed in a letter to iPad owners, last week, to assist in the investigation and prosecution of any illegal activity related to the AT&T Web site breach.

Auernheimer, 24, is being held in Washington County Detention Center in Fayetteville, Ark. A hearing is scheduled for June 18, though no bond or court date is set.
