iPad review: Tek Kit & Tek Kit XL

Tek Kit is fun techno/dance music app, that lets you create beats in real time on two drum step sequencers using drum machine samples. The sound quality is top notch on both the iPhone and iPad. We had a blast playing with it on both devices.

The mixer gives you independent volume control of the two drum machine sequencers. The app has a crossfader for fades and quick cuts.

The effects pad is an x/y style controller. Different effects can be applied to one or even to both of the channels.

Armed a large collection of samples, the developer promises to increase them with every update. 

Tek Kit has a sweet user friendly with nice, intuitive controls. It's very cool, and while we can see just about anyone getting a kick out of it, this is a niche app designed with DJs in mind.
